Uses for a dead CD player

Seeing as I am building a collection of these: What is the most creative use for a dead CD player - or any other Hi-fi and AV equipment?

Even when dead, a CD player can still make "music"

I have seen a PC casing made into a braai. That would work for a speaker cabinet - but only once!
