I present a (mainly light classical) music program for some retirement homes. Very few of them have reasonable sound systems and are reluctant to spend any money
One I went to for the first time showed me a LG TV with a sound bar. That is the extent of their sound system. It can play CDs via a DVD player. Actually not too bad, fairly clear but no bass to speak of
Is there a way you know of to connect a sub to this? I think there is very little sound below 180Hz and they are missing lots of the music
If I can get a sub for a reasonable price, I can get them to chip in for it. So that is next on the wish list - a reasonable sub here in Cape Town
