I bought my Rotel RSX 1067 in 2005, as well as a Rotel RB 1080 power amp (2 x 200watts) and a Rotel RCD 1072 CD Player at the same time. I think the total value was in the region of some R45000.00. Imagine my surprise to find out this week that these items are not worth much today at all. Yesterday I was offered a fully working RSX 1067 (worth R6k) bought in 2007 in exchange for my 1080 plus 1072 (basically trade-in) plus R2k, and this from a Rotel dealer whom I can only assume knows his values. I posted elsewhere about my 1067 having lost its digital processing abilities for the right surround speaker although all the amps on the receiver work fine. I would have thought an amp like the 1080 and the CD player would carry a bit more value. Is this really what 2005 Rotel units are worth now?

I have managed to  keep my 1067 current by buying a Blu-Ray player with 7.1 analog outputs.
