VALVE PRE-AMP ON AV RECEIVER

Hi All !

With my extremely limited knowledge, I would appreciate some guidance. Is it possible to use a valve pre-amp on an av receiver (for stereo listening) ? Reason I'm asking is I would like to get a warmer sound from the receiver.
