The Cape Townians are lucky to be able to purchase these. I read about the Jane Stewart truffles that is sold exclusively at the Van Ryn's distillery in Cape and had to get a box. Anyway, my mom got a box a business trip there, and I have to admit, it's really great. Not cheap - about R160 for 16 small truffles.
The presentation is fantastic.
Gotta see if these are available in Gauteng under a different brand. It sure beats the usual Lindt or Ferrero. It's also great to know that such delicacies are available in ZA and not only from Europe.
The distillery doesn't post to other parts of the country - obviously as it will melt.
Here are some pictures.
