Indeed, I do understand that valve amps require custom transformers. I'm looking at it more from a safety point of view, so for example, bringing a circuit slowly up to operating voltages, etc. Trying not to blow me or the components up whilst I learn. There's no guarantee that I'll have everything connected correctly the first time around, so if I can somehow do it in a safer manner, I'd like to go down that route. I'm all for learning, so if there's a way to set up that keeps safety at the forefront, kindly let me know.</blockquote>
