I thought I would leverage off your collective experience and wisdom. My wife and I are about to embark on an extensive home makeover (we wont be living in it at the time) and I need advice and references for several products and references for several skilled craftsmen. I am in Joburg north. So please dont recommend a great carpenter who lives 600km from me for argument's sake :sd:
1. Kitchen. I need to find a good, reasonably priced carpenter to fabricate everything from a kitchen island to cupboards to a dining room table mostly out of solid wood. Anyone good and honest you can recommend? Gauteng based at least.
2. Source for led downlights at good prices. As long as they are prepared to post doesnt have to be local. Am concerned about longevity of the globes. They all quote 40000 hours or something crazy but I am sure their manufacturing is not all equivalent. Got to be sure if you are buying 200 of these at around R100 a pop.
For the general 5w variety how many would you recommend per 10m^2 to get an even light on the floor?

Lets leave it at that for now. Thats most of the info I am missing at present.
