If you sell a vehicle privately and the buyer has financed it through Wesbank, how do to ensure that the vehicle has actually been registered in the new owners name. The reason i am asking, is that the financial institution takes all the original documentation from you, but it seems there is no feedback regarding actual change of ownership. Am i being paranoid or is there anything i need to be aware of ?
