I am new to head-fi and are wondering about a couple things about headphone amps... Please point me in the right direction.

My setup:
PC - FLAC - Asus Xonar STX - Sennheiser Momentum (On Ear)
Or
PC - FLAC - Asus Xonar STX - NAD amp - Speakers

I want to buy smart... I do not want to in one year's time buy something "better" again. Suppose what I mean is, I would like a device that will integrate and work well in my current setup but also a versatile device that can be upgraded, by just adding hardware, or it being able to be used as another device (E.g. Better DAC, or valve pre amp for speakers) If such a device even exists. My headphones currently are the Momentum, which has a very low 18Ω impedance. I may want to change these cans later on and do not want to change the headphone amp as well if I do change cans.

Suggestions please? My budget about 2-3K.
