IASW Item #1: I stopped in at a sewing machine repair shop (actually, a huge, successful concern) in Maitland today, and discussed sewing machine oil (apparently it is called white needle oil) with the owner. He explained that 3-in-1 etc get sticky / gunky when it gets old, but not so white needle oil. "I use it on my Lenco L75" he told me! I bought 1 litre. :notworthy:
IASW Item #2: I bought new damping fluid for my SME arm at Speed Models in Bellville - they use it in the shocks of radio controlled model racing cars!
IASW Item #3: Rubber Products and Mouldings in Maitland has great substitutes for "vrot" old Pioneer turntable feet - now using some big truck door "bungers' after I drilled a hole through them!
IASW Item #4: No one in Cape Town currently has a stylus for a Technics EPC 270C cartridge, or a Stanton 881S cartridge. :walled:
