Ok, so I'm trying to get more into this whole vinyl music thing. At the moment I only have about 9 or 10 records. They're quite pricey so I tend to only buy the limited edition ones brand new. (But then they're coloured and too pretty for me to even want to open!) We're in the middle of a winter storm but I'm hoping to go check out Goodwill or find a decent flea market soon to see if I can find some treasures.
My problem is that now I actually want to listen to the records I have! I considered getting a record player here but it's not really practical spending that much money on something that's going to be too heavy for me to take home with me. And I'd probably have to spend money on speakers too (remind me to never take for granted the fact that you just keep such things around the house for when I need it). But this got me thinking about the one you got me. I like the automatic operation 'cause it's so simple to use and requires less of a steady hand than your manual one. What make and model is it? I'd like to be able to read up more about it. How it works and such.
This is all making me miss home! Look forward to more such emails as I can't just run to the next room to ask you all my stupid questions.
Doesn't that just warm your heart to know that there is another convert to the dark side. Any similar experiences?
