The "museum" not to mean any disrespect.
I went to collect my Pioneer PL-707 freebie from F-D on Tuesday, and was met by the most charming man I have met in a long time. Truly a moment I shall remember for a very long time. Why? In Eric I found a fellow lover of audio nirvana, and a collector of note. I was taken on a tour of his pride and joy. Items that I have come to know over many years of being a dedicated service guy myself, sitting side by side on shelves, stuck in cabinets. Some fully operational, some chomping at the bit to be taken into the loving hands of this man, Eric, to be coaxed back to life. Not just to be serviced, but to be really brought back to life, to once more be a pride and joy.
Eric, I salute you and what you do. I can associate, because this is what I was good at too, long time ago. Sadly, I have left this game to do what I do now. But my visit to you has opened "wounds" so to speak, and brought back fond memories.
Thank you for hosting me, and my only regret being that our time was limited due to family matters. Thank you also for the PL-707, which I shall also restore to its former glory. In the spirit of restoration that really lives in your heart, I have once again taken heart myself.
God Bless!
