I have an array of 14 x 5W Eurolux model GU5.3 12 volt LED lamps, with a colour temperature of 4000k, which on the upper cool side of warm white. They are in use in an art gallery in Montagu and provide the ideal lighting for this gallery and its exhibits.
A new room has been opened up and has the same decor, so the gallery manageress wants the exact same lamps.
However, in an around Cape Town, I can only find a 6 watt lamp with a colour temperature of 3500K, which is a) too bright and b) too warm
The lamp has a normal MR16 base (same as 50 watt halogen downlighters)
20 lamps were ordered from Glo-Lighting in Jhb and the invoice gave the correct description. However, when the parcel was opened, they were the 6 watt units and all mixed up, some 3500k, some 6000k. Glo Lighting refuse to admit they made a mistake or consider a refund, but this is another matter
So I am looking for a supplier in CT who might stock this. Have so far tried Plumstead Lighting Showroom, Eagle Lighting, Marula Led (they have the correct wattage and colour, but it is in a large tubular heatsink, so won't match)
Suggestions welcome - thank you
