I'm hoping someone will have an answer to fix this. I have two Gemini gate motors on two gates at my house. They were both working flawlessly - until loadshedding started again this year.
When power gets cut for loadshedding, the one gate motor gets triggered to open and after that, it doesn't close properly. Just moves back and forth a few cm, draining the battery. The other gate is fine, though. At first I thought ok, I'll install a surge protector to catch any unwanted spikes coming from the grid. So I bought and installed this one: Clearline Filtertube Lightning & Surge Protector.
But it didn't help one bit. The motor still opens by itself at unwanted times, which is sometimes in the middle of the night!
