Have been pondering for some time now about some speakers for my desk top system got sick of that  :cr@p: Divoom  :puke: type sound.
Have a Cambridge Sonata AR30 2.1 receiver doing nothing so upon seeing the special Audiosure is running on these speakers decided to take the plunge.

All I can say is very nice indeed  :Whoohoo: played with them all day yesterday comparing them with my old trusty B&W DM303's.
Are they different yes.  :flame: IMO they do a lot of  things better the highs are silkier and much sweeter the detail is better throughout the audio range, nice sound stage for their size. Stereo separation is better still have a warm signature which I like nevertheless. More forward than the B&W's but they do lack the B&W's beguiling mid range on my low power valve amp. Difficult to drive no but their sensitivity of 86db means they do not play as loud as the B&W's. They do sound a lot better than the B&W's with the Cambridge. B&W's are to laid back to polite lazy  :coffee: and soft so to speak.

The B&W's do however better suit the valve amp just a better match.  Detail and impact is still not as good as the Wharfedale's but the bass gets more down there but it not as clean if you get my drift. The B&W's are staying they do have such a beguiling Mid range and great bass to my ears with the valve amp.

Left them playing all night and they have opened up considerably.  :wallbreak: Sounding great.
So if you have the price of a couple tanks of gas or a trip to Checkers lying around get a pair at R999.00 with tax is a steal that is about $100 cant get new sound as good as this for that price anywhere. These little buggers rock.
Nicely made but a word of warning watch the Pres Stick it managed to separate the vinyl from the cabinet on one,  so give them a twist don't just pull them up of the stand to separate.  I have learned something new again the hard way as usual.

Here we go a USB DAC next on the list any suggestions but bang for buck being a priority please.
Listening to Simon and Garfunkel Old Friends Collection using an Enzer Dvd player with my trusty ancient QED Digit DAC with positron and all I can say is wow these Speakers sound amazing go for it.   :whip:

Going to spank them on My Mono Blocks sometime to see what they are capable off when I have the energy to Move the Vandersteens, the buggers are heavy and not easy to lift of and reposition on the Granite plinths.
