In April 2013 we bought a bargain priced home in Flamingo Vlei in Milnerton with the intentions of renovating it. First year we did kitchen and lounge over December, 2nd year we did en-suite also over December (a pattern of madness is emerging). 3rd and for now final thing we are doing is the front of our home. Wall, new entrance, carport port etc. This has definitely been the hardest but the most rewarding because now the front of our house looks nice instead of kak. Started on the 7th of June and almost done. Just carport and braai area roof to go. It has been extremely stressful, seems builders very seldom communicate with the owner and simply carry on even though you tell them you want something done a specific way
