What is wrong with some pawnshop owners clinging on to ancient stock?

I often bump into a pawnshop owner that have ancient stock rotting, but wont sell the item at a reduced price. Are they hoarders or something? That idiot in Linden doesn't have a single item left worth buying. Transformers go after 25y and speakers much faster. Whatever you do, save yourself lots of money and grief and don't support the A.H.!
