So, in light of my recent education, I feel the need to try and enlighten people...
My process was as follows:
Tested the SRPP via the SB to see if the noise was better after a bit of a rewire... It was. Yay... :dance:
Then I though, I would try one RCA still in the SB, and one shorted to ground... So I turned everything off, unplugged the one SB RCA, plugged in my shorted RCA, and put the power back on...
As that lovely little relay on the SRPP clicked, all HELL broke loose...
I'm still not 100% sure how doing this ended up in the massive carnage which followed, but ah truck, it's all broken now.
Oh well.
