Good day all.

Newbie here, but I am sure this question must help others as well

So I have a Panasonic DVD Home Theatre box sets with a 5 speakers (4 Ohms) and a passive subwoofer which were all powered by the main amplifier unit.

The unit decided to go to heaven and now I am stuck with 6 perfectly good working speakers.

My question, is what do I replace it with, because the speakers are probably worth R600 so spending R4000 for a high powered amp would be overkill, and that amp would not work because its passive and these amplifiers with all their power don't provide the required power for the subwoofer (they have their resasons I know but is annoying).

So what becomes of these speakers ?

Here is an example of my setup for which I am talking about https://www.takealot.com/panasonic-sc-xh166gs-k-5-1ch-300w-tall-boy-dvd-home-theater-system/PLID46652875

Thanks in advance.
