What to look for in a turntable

Guys I would appreciate your help on this matter. I am in the market for a TT. I want to buy right the first time. Tommorow I am listening to Rega rp 3 , then Linn, then Project. Man I dont want to buy the wrong thing. They all sound good. Help !!
