Hi
I havedone many forex transfers over the years for stuff bought overseas - either for private or business purposes. As everyone knows, you go to the bank, provide the seller's proforma or invoice and complete the forms and of course provide the funds. The bank then does the rest, at a price, of course.
A couple of months ago, I called Ab$a's forex department and explained the seller of something I wanted to buy from somewhere overseas, insisted to be paid via PayPal. The 'consultant' stated repeatedly she had never heard of PayPal and couldn't assist. I asked her to get her supervisor to call me but they never did.
Does anyone know what gives? I need to possibly buy a re-manufactured cover for a turntable from turntabledepot.com and I have an email here, stating they only accept settlement by PayPal.
mafioso
