the LP12 must be one of the most modified turntables around. you get a "upgrade" part for vitually every part that you get on the LP12
so I was thinking. what is considered to be the heart of the LP12.
if we look at a scenario of the upgrade opportunities and I will only list a few but there are plenty
top plate. tyger-paw kahn or funk firm
bottom brace - tyger paw.
sub chassis and armboard - analogue innovation - sole and armboard or funk firm
plinth - chris harben. - woodsong audio
motor - origin live
power supply - herculess II
arm - the list is endless
what you left with is the bearing/inner platter and outer platter and suspension.
the question is. is it still a LP12 once you have done all your "upgrades".
