Tipping the speaker upright is a useful suggestion that I hadn't considered. I am partially limited by the shape of the TV stand. But, I may actually do this in conjunction with another possibly eyebrow-raising idea: mounting the centre speaker above the TV, on a basic stand that stands on the TV stand behind the TV. The TV is only 42" so the top of it is actually closer to ear height than the bottom. But that is a longer term plan. The self-built idea is also intriguing but unfortunately outside the scope of my experience.</p></blockquote><p></p>
