Not speaker build related but a few years back I made some 40mm thick floating shelves (approx 500mm deep), each supported by 2x 10mm threaded rod. As we're in the process of repainting I thought it's the perfect opportunity to replace the threaded rod with 12mm rod (or to add a 3rd hole for 10mm rod in the middle of each shelf) to provide additional strength. Either option requires that I access a drill press...anyone in Gauteng?
