I live in Pta and work in Centurion.
I want to find a place/shop/"authorised dealer" where i can ask for, and get, a proper demo on stereo kit. There are 2 places in Pta/Centurion that I'm aware of but the one is always (understandably) kitted up with HT kit and the other place simply isn't interested unless you appear/look like you're going to spend at least half a million Rands with them. I might not have a half a million bucks but should that disqualify me. Ironically i always do my homework before i ask for a demo for the specific reason that i don't want to waste the dealers' time
But i have a serious problem blowing R40k on a pre-amp if I'm not even allowed to listen to it. And they make you feel like you're wasting their time - even though i only see them once in 6 months. It really leaves one feel degraded and unworthy of crossing theit door sills.
