Currently I have a very simple setup with just a Yamaha RX-V477 AV receiver and 2 Boston bookshelf speakers. Probably been going like this for about 3+ years but I think it is time to add a sub and make this a 2.1 setup.
Listen to all sorts of music from instrumental classical guitar all the way through to commercial Pop and heavy rock. Watch some movies occasionally and do some console gaming. Everything connected to the Yamaha: PS3, Xbox One S, Pioneer CD/DVD player, Samsung smart TV.
What would be a decent sub to add some base, especially to music, but not break the bank? I don't need window shattering stuff but just a fuller sound. The Bostons are not bad but when cranking up some hard rock or doef-doef club music, the base is definitely a bit lacking.
