I know that my post is similar to the other guy, but seeing that LG is not really an option for me since I cannot find decent review on their products I was hoping me starting my own would help.

I recently had to lay my Samsung PDP550 to rest  :'(, my youngest son who is 2 launched a wooden block into it causing a spider effect crack. I have been told that cracked screens are uneconomical to repair  :'( Anyways, I now am looking to get another one which insurance is paying for but I don't know what to buy since Plasma is not really sold anymore.

The reason I went for Plasma about 3.5 years ago was that I did not enjoy the LCDs at the time. I had a 51" 7000 series and found the colour not all that great and the blacks were awful. I know technology changes all the time, but with that can come fixes and problems. I was hoping I could get advise from you guys as what is great. Most of the time these screens always look great on the floor and when you get them home you see all the flaws!

My budget is around R 15k

Thanks Guys.
