Will any of the CD/DVD/Blu ray stores swap unopened discs?

Hi all

My wife was given a blu ray tv series as a gift last week.  Unfortunately this is a series she has already seen.  Do any of you know if any of the stores will swap these out or give us a gift voucher in return?  I don't have the slip and would prefer not to ask the guys who gave us the gift for it.
