She said that a dog's hearing, especially in the +12KHz region is particularly sensitive. She reckoned that it would work up to 100m, unless there was a great deal of traffic noise. The one I used had 3 flutes, presumably that means 3 frequencies. I took it to Muizenberg beach once, there must have been 10-15 dogs about, some quite a distance away. One blast of the whistle and every single dog stopped what it was doing and looked at me. Including our two worsies</p></blockquote><p></p>
