The man doesn't walk these ils's much anymore, so this post is both fitting and long overdue!
It all started back when Uncle Chris sent me down those MASSIVE Tannoys and I've been hooked on horns ever since...
Back to the man himself. I do not think that there is anyone on this Forum that has built or helped build as many DIY speakers as Uncle Chris. We are not talking DIY but furniture, furniture that makes commercial speakers look like, well commercial! Absolute works of art! To run some kind of numbers, mine are the fifth pair of Onken's. There were four single Autograph's (one pair made for the UK), double Autograph's, A7's, untold amount of Corals and horns! And everything between!
The man is nothing short of a LEGEND! A man that has inspired me for life in this ever quest to simply listen to the music as it was presented and intended! I shall forever be indebted!...
Thank you Uncle Chris from me and I'm sure many others! This, thank you is way too short. It is directed to a man that has lived this passion for 50 plus years... Words in this case and they seldom do, fail me! They say all roads end at horns and in this case you introduced me so it's at your door.
