I work regularly with an Excel file that's running 23MB. Problem is that it takes very long to open and long to close and this varies depending on the processing power of the laptop. Now when I open and close, I shut off all other applications especially Firefox and Teams. Surprisingly, when opening and closing, the CPU usage is still around 50-55% so I find it strange it takes so long. Memory is never a problem
While annoying I'm forever worried that it will become unstable, which it has. I back this file up religiously !
It has about 200 worksheets. I think the size is correct given the number of sheets.
Anyone have any advice on working with large files to preserve it's integrity. I've considered splitting it up, but the way I'm capturing data makes this the last option.
Thanks
