Gliding Dutchman
Guest
One of my mates receintly bought an Xbox 360 gaming console.
Now let me level with you - this Gliding Dutchman is an analogue guy and neither plays games!
I am truely surprised by the stunning performance of the console on all possible formats - gaming, mp3 playback, DVD/CD playback and other funky features. It certainly replays' DVD better than those R500 jobbies from Pick-n-Pay.
To me it seems like a very good source/entertainment solution for a techno-savvy person seeking a neat solution.
One serious downside is the fact that with multi-channel sound the only connection is TOSlink-optical - what the heck, it performs a treat on "old-fashioned" stereo. Games is also quite expensive and suddenly my analogue/vinyl hobby doesnt seem that crazy afterall.
Well - I am not a gamer so I cant comment on that subject with fairness...
