Hi there all you clued up peeps!
My Yamaha AVR - RXV 767 was struck by lightning shortly before Christmas.
I received a quote to repair it from Pro Audio / Yamaha for a total of R 4 660.00 incl. (One part being replaced - P.C.B. ASS'Y DIGITAL BGF).
In your opinions, would it be worth the cost?, look elsewhere for a repair agent?, try source the part myself and do the repair myself (I have electronics experience)? or should I upgrade to a new AVR?
I am on a budget and would likely look for a used / second hand good condition unit on these forums... And then the question would be what to replace it with?
