When one has seen a lot, heard a lot, discussed a lot and read a lot about turntables, one wonders how Garrard, Thorens, Linn and many, many other could possibly have released the utter crap they did. Because changing the plinth, changing the bearing, changing the platter, changing the motor, changing the power supply, changing the power cable, changing the platter mat, changing the feet, changing the idler wheel/belt, changing the grommets, changing the springs and changing the WTF else all improve the soundstage, background, response, air, PRAT, and untold other parameters of audiophile vinyl music reproduction. This is my current favourite - what is yours? (And, were those audio engineers just utter idiots, or is it all to blame to "manufacturing to a price point" - and Thorens could not afford to add some o-rings to the bearing housing) :BWAHAHAH:
