I have a CD 63KI and that beats the Rotel in detail retrieval whilst also being very easy to listen too. The Sony 557 ESD I have is really good too. Incredibly resolving to the point where it can make system pairing important so as not to come across as too forward. This one must have been a revelation in 1989!I don't use them as transports because I want to enjoy the period DAC. As nice as they are, any of my modern DACs outrun them easily.Still waiting to get my hands on a Wadia....</blockquote>
