So what was the first car that was actually yours to come and go with as you pleased.
Replying to an earlier thread I was reminded of my very first car : A 1968 Fiat 124
My old man had it for many years and fixed it up nicely while I was in the army(Walvis Bay 2 SAI).
It was a good runner and never left me stranded over a period of 3 years
I traded it in for R1000 in 1993 and back in 1969 my old man paid R999 for it
