SARS. Anyone able to help.

Went to SARS this morning. Basically I think they incorrectly deducted R 200 000.00 from a transaction I did. Got assigned to "Complex Queries". Went in stated my query, was asked to hand over my ID. Silence and lots of computer clicking for 5 min.  Then asked, what is your query. State it again. Told it will be sorted out in next years tax submission.

I ask why. Told it needs to be sorted out by the accounts department.

Can I see the accounts department? No, they don't see the public.

Can I get help with the problem? Yes, come back again. I ask, "Can I come back tomorrow then and sort it out?". No come back next year and we can help with your tax return.

Will SARS pay interest on the amount. No, they don't know.

The tax rate goes up next year, presume it will not be retrospective, so I will not loose out on that as well, hopefully.

Is there anyone with connections in SARS or have any advice on how to get this sorted without having to wait a year or do I need to hire a tax consultant to sort this out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
