Good Day all. Need some advice for where to put top rear ceiling speakers?
This is the current setup in my small second lounge/game room where my sons play Playstation and also where we watch movies sometimes.
Denon X4200 receiver
Monitor Audio Bronze 6 towers with center channel - (Running of a 3 channel Rotel)
Boston Bravo top front heights above the towers - (Running of a 5 channel Rotel)
Bentley FR80 for the rear surrounds - (Running of the 5 channel Rotel)
Monitor Audio Bronze W10 subwoofer.
The single 3 seater couch is right up against the back wall, as the room is only about 3.5m in depth. The rear surrounds are in the standard listening position mounted on the walls
Now the AVR gives me an option of top rear heights speakers placement, which will be the only set of speakers the AVR is powering.
The options are, top middle or top rear.
Now considering where the seating position is, should i mount the ceiling speakers at the top middle position or top rear?
The top rear will be directly over the couch and the top middle will be between the TV and couch.
Any advice as i want to be able to get the maximum Atmos experience where i can.
