    So basically the AVR is the Sony/HK receiver so I would run the HD to the receiver and from the receiver to a power amp and then speakers is that correct.

    I have checked the specs on the websites but I see they are clever they do not really say it straight out there is no audio on the HDMI and I do not understand all the technical terms but apparently the Sony and the HK both play the sound and audio.

    Thanks Batman, Im sure you can, besides I must be honest I dont think I can sit at home with glasses on to watch a 3D movie and besides I have checked all the 3D TV's on display and must be honest not one was good most of them made my eyes water.     I guess thats true Batman, besides could one not connect the 3D player to the TV directly and then take the sound from the TV to the amp just an idea for if the amp was not 3D ready.

    Another thing as well is the Sony is 3D ready but I do not think the HK is so I guess thats another thing to look at.

    Well the Sony is R3000 and the HK is R4500 but I only heard the Sony amp with the Sony FCR6500 speakers and it really sounded good but then again I know HK is a very good make and has awesome sound quality.

    I saw a Harmon Kardon AVR 156 and a Sony DH 520 today was thinking of getting either one of these what do you guys think? The only thing is on the Harmon Kardon website it says that its only 65W so that is quite low I think and the Sony is 110W apparently which is alot louder. Any feedback...

    I have heard the Pioneer it sounded good but I must be honest the service from some of these shops I have been to is pathetic to be honest I have received the best service from Game out of all places. I have been looking in the classifieds nothing at the moment I will just keep on looking.

    Hi Im Clinton I am new here. I am looking at setting up a nice sound system for myself. At the moment I have 2 Jamo speakers connected to an Old Technics Receiver (The old one from the Hifi's that came with the turn table) and a NAD Sub with the NAD amp for the sub but the amp does not work...
