Thank you all for the valuable feedback. I had a chat with Vaughan from the forum also and I am leaning towards the dual 610's again because of their allrounder ability. Sure there are probably better subs out there but I think the dual 610's will be more than enough for my needs.

Mostly movies (70/30 ratio). I saw the ASW650 for 4k on avsa but I have had some bad experiences with 2nd hand before so I am a little skeptical.

That does indeed sound like wise advice  ^-^ That begs the question though, which single sub in the R14k price range? The GoldenEar ForceField 5 got some rave reviews but does not seem to be well known...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had a look at some Velodyne's. The ones I liked was slightly more expensive than what my budget allows. Do you perhaps have a specific model you would recommend?
