I bought a pair recently to use with a portable CD player when Eskom does it thing. Very impressed for the price, R1200 from Sounds Great I think.

My only concern would be that the plastic sticks to the CD over time, especially one that was not used in a while.

After calibrating I find I always have to increase the volume on the centre speaker otherwise I can not hear what's spoken. Getting deaf in my old age, well that's what my wife thinks.  :angrywife:

Ha!! Ha!! Just 10min ago I bought the Rii 2.4GHz Wireless Mini Keyboard & Air Mouse from Takealot for R316. I did not see the remote, would have bought otherwise. Good luck on your purchase, I'm sure both will do the job, mine on Jriver.

I use it as throughput from laptop/CDP to my avr digital in. I can then play through my stereo or/and receiver from my said source. Oops sorry. I thought the question was digital output from a DAC.  :facepalm:

I bought my Cambridge DAC from Joe and he is a nice guy to deal with. I live in PTA so I collected from his house.

Watching him as a teenager playing Dracula in the Hammer Horror movies used to scare me  $^!&less. Brilliant actor. RIP
