I'm sure they are AR38S tweeters unless they use the same. Have 3 pairs of AR38'S and all have identical tweeters. Had the one set's drivers refoamed by Merle and they sound great. Tweeters work perfectly. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

Decided to change the color on these. Light sand and some steel wool. Used Woodoc 10 with a Teak stain. Look a lot better in person and a bit darker than in the pictures. Exactly the look I wanted on them. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

Thanks F_D. Will do so. Next thing to look into is the ariel. Some pics on the net have an elaborate contraption on the back plate. Mine has a single green wire. Any advice on that. I'm also  infused about the black wire which has I'm sure is a ground. Nothing on the web to reference. Thanks...

OK update on this. All tubes alive except the Sylvania 6X4 (H3E) . Could this be the cause of no sound (newbie question)? Where do I start to look for a replacement? Many thanks Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

HI all. Found another pair of Acoustic Research AR38Ss in pretty good condition. Drivers are going to Merle on the weekend to get reformed. The tweeters are working however I have read that the ferro fluid in them can dry up. Has anyone had experience in "servicing" these types of tweeters...
