Bought these a while ago. Was not too found of the finish..  Been contemplating for a while whether I should sand them down and get them into the original state.

Photos from the previous seller to give an idea of what they look like...

Took the plunge this morning. Have completed the sanding of one. Was a hell of a lot of work.

Started with steel wool to get most of the finish off. Then used 150 grit sandpaper to finish it off and open up the wood a bit,

Removed the badges and stickers to be refitted at a later stage,

After the sanding was done I used some "Howard Restor-A-Finish Neutral"  to finish it off,

Looks cool as I left a bit of the original finish in the deeper parts of the wood grain.

Think the contrast between the black stands, the black drivers and Tweeter is going to look cool with the wood that is lighter in color now.

Will post more when drivers are fitted.

Luckily the veneer is in exceptional condition
