It's better! Seems the main culprit is the TV..... There is however still a very faint hum audible. Had some enormous fun though, listening to Michael Franks, during the process! Will keep at it though.... Thanks for asking. Regards

Hi fdlsys Thank you for the welcome. The tone arm and headshell/cartridge ground connections have been tested, checked and rechecked. I'm pretty sure they're sound, but I'm at my wits' end.... Regards
