So there is no way he can just ad a multiswitch.He went with the Satcr as it was less wiring. So he will have to get Satcr with 2 Legacy ports or Twin Lnb with multiswitch. Thanks

Hi My brother currently has the following setup at his place:SATCR Unicable with 1 Legacy Port/lnb,1 x HDPVR 4 Tuner pace and 1 x 1110 Decoder No Multi Switch. Can he connect a HD PVR 2 Tuner in place of the 1110?What does he need to make this combination work?Just ad Multi Switch. Currently 2...

Yes,decoder has a separate fan running as well to help with cooling.I believe it is only possible to Replace the STD PVR HDD and the HD PVR 4 Tuner a bit harder to do as for the Software etc. that is preloaded On the unit. Thanks a mill for offering,but I am in CPT.

I have just replaced the unit at MC.I will in the meantime source for a another second hand unit and try what you suggested.Thanks again for your help,much appreciated!!!

Thanks for your kind response guys..Skylark you are correct...The HD PVR HDD only works with  corresponding serial number of the decoder.The actual HDD has Multichoice software pre-loaded as well,so you can't really use any other HDD with it. So I guess off to MC to replace decoder yet again...

Have not as yet...Just needed to check if anyone has replaced a hdd before...If not,I guess it will be another trip to Multichoice...

Hi Can anyone advise me where i can take a 20" Lcd Tv for repairs?It has a back light inverter problem so I was told.Lcd powers on and then there is picture for like 10mins and thereafter sound only with black screen.Its for me grandma.... Thanking you in advance. Regards

Thanks KenMasters..Will unplug any equipment from wall sockets as well.My father always unplugs all his equipment from wall socket,thought it was just too much of a hassle getting in behind the cabinets etc.

I normally just power down both equipment units before unplugging or switching HDMI cables.Should the power cables be removed from the wall units as well??
