Hey Guys, what software and kit are you using to get the graphs and readings ? What do you play on the system to get the readings ? This is something that really interests me for my room but not sure what I can use ...

When you move around the room do you hear your bass response change between locations or does it sound muddy or it it just missing ? Whatever you do make sure you can test them... I tested some large cylinder types in my theater a while ago and they just killed everything, I hated them - so...

You could also have a out of phase issue, but as far as I know the auto setup can catch that. I don't know your amp though. When you say you don't have any punch, is that in stereo mode or when running the full system?

Hey Rodney, I think it's the same speakers I listened too recently at one of the forum members places, he has a preditor pre with a black widow driving them, the sound was amazing even though they might not be the looks I normally go for ...but it was seriously impressive. He is selling his set...

I did read one post that said it was the closest the fork lift could put the amp.... :roll:

In all the pics the amps are either next to the speaker or behind it, the cable only needs to be about 1m or less. Just listed as an advantage on some posts...  I couldn't tell the difference in sonic performance if the cable was 1m or 10m....but that's me  ;)

Did some more reading on this tonight.... Seems there are normally 2 reasons. - heat - shorten the cable runs to the speakers. So the heat could be linked to the amp performance and life expectancy, the cable length to some sonic improvement.. You guys agree ?
