    Multiple Centre Channel Speakers

pastoorwillie - did I read correctly... 2 x 18'' .... :EGrin: I haven't run 2 center's myself but some amps actually have outputs for them - so someone thinks they could be of use.. I would rather spend my money on one better quality center that matched my mains - I would be worried that...

    Corner Basstraps (Chunk Traps)

Hey Guys, what software and kit are you using to get the graphs and readings ? What do you play on the system to get the readings ? This is something that really interests me for my room but not sure what I can use ...

    Interconnects for good bass

When you move around the room do you hear your bass response change between locations or does it sound muddy or it it just missing ? Whatever you do make sure you can test them... I tested some large cylinder types in my theater a while ago and they just killed everything, I hated them - so...

Hey A, thanks, I heard it made a big difference to your setup by moving it.   did that change your speaker cable lengths ?

    Bi-Amping 802N's

Hey M, sounds like your idea is correct. If you have 2 of the same amps then you should have no issues with them being the same. Ive used splitters in the past do exactly what your wanting to do and I didn't have any issues I could hear. But I'm more into HT, and what I'm looking for in my...

    polk A9 bass?

You could also have a out of phase issue, but as far as I know the auto setup can catch that. I don't know your amp though. When you say you don't have any punch, is that in stereo mode or when running the full system?

What do you look for in a speaker?

Hey Rodney, I think it's the same speakers I listened too recently at one of the forum members places, he has a preditor pre with a black widow driving them, the sound was amazing even though they might not be the looks I normally go for ...but it was seriously impressive. He is selling his set...

    Did I miss something ?

I did read one post that said it was the closest the fork lift could put the amp....

    Did I miss something ?

In all the pics the amps are either next to the speaker or behind it, the cable only needs to be about 1m or less. Just listed as an advantage on some posts...  I couldn't tell the difference in sonic performance if the cable was 1m or 10m....but that's me  ;)

    Did I miss something ?

Did some more reading on this tonight.... Seems there are normally 2 reasons. - heat - shorten the cable runs to the speakers. So the heat could be linked to the amp performance and life expectancy, the cable length to some sonic improvement.. You guys agree ?

    Did I miss something ?

Hey guys, I wonder if you could help me to try understand something I read in a post under members kit. I don't remember the who's , but this is how it went... One guy had a pic of his listening setup in his lounge area with a dedicated listening chair, between the speakers he had a stand with...

    polk A9 bass?

Hey Chaps , I really like these speakers. If you add the 3x7" drivers that's allot of total surface area for the drivers..21" , I know it also uses a special port at the back if I remember correctly to help with the bass.(apart for the from one) I did find though that to get the most out of...

What do you look for in a speaker?

I'm perhaps a bit more shallow than you guys... ;D  a speaker must 1st appeal to me visually... If its going to to live in my house I want something that stirs a visual trigger when I sit and look at them..... Secondly is the sound.... But Not far behind.... I won't have a good looking but ...
