Matthew, Will do. It was an M44c. It was fine before i did all my repairs to the TT. I figure I might have bumped it. The treble is a mess, sounds all musshy and getting worse. Stereo seperation is good and the bass and mid is fine. I am sure the cartridge is fine and all the wiring is good...

NAILED IT! New RCA's did it. But also the tonearm wiring was a complete stuff up. re-soldered everything. Also replaced that filter cap. Switch working 100% Thanks you all so much for the help and for putting up wiht my stupid questions... ;) PS: Matthew you can relax now... How about that...

Ok swopped as suggested. No difference. Disconnected cartridge and with headshell attached hum gone! Edit: my mistake sorry. Cart disconnected with headshell attached still hums. Had to change nappies and got a bit confused ... :)) What does that mean then? Replace rca's?

Measured rca pin to ring on both rca cables - 600ohm on both. Then checked red rca plug pin blue, ring white. White rca plug pin green, ring red. Whoops. So i am swopping red / green and white / blur as steerpike suggested just to check. Will test and revert back. @ steerpike, rca's are...
