Thanks for the suggestion - the product looks great. Unfortunately the shortest length is over 12 metres <sigh>

No reason other than (a) the units originally installed [by a high-end installer - the insurance were paying  :)] were dual cable and (b) they were recommended by various forum members.

If I'm not mistaken that was the replacement unit suggested i.e. at a little under R10,000.  :)

Apologies: I forgot to mention that the cable runs through a conduit, hence the Cat5 route
