Yes, different ways of selecting what you need and more gain settings but outputs essentially work the same. Volume controls seems to be using relays.

Bought a CX5 just more than a year ago. Tested mosted of the cars you mentioned, after driving the CX5 it was an easy decision. Still no second thoughts. I suggest you go and drive them before you decide.

That is what I want to know as well. I opened the other UPS I have that is like this one, and it is also wired like this. Have been operating for 3 years. I cannot find anyone explaining this scheme.

That is what I thought. Strange thing the series connection with one battery inverted works as well. And provides 24V.
