    Speaker rubber surround repair

That's definitely torn. Clean the back of it with meths. Apply a bead of silicone over the tear from behind and smooth it over with a wet finger. Leave it for at least 24 hours to set. Bostik CAR works well.

    Used Car Market

I'm 100% with Trompie here. New car prices are insane and the so called budget market is not exactly cheap either. I see some brands on the road that I've never heard of before. Don't think that your new Honda etc is built with love by dedicated Japanese workers. Those days are long gone...

    Russia-Ukraine Conflict

I follow this guy on YT. This blog was filmed on Friday and Saturday. It's at ground level, not the garb you get on the news. It's really sad to see this in the 21st century https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzBxFH_hEwA

How to file a complaint against a computer store?

I ordered a firewire card from them about 18 months ago, and also found it a pain to deal with them. To cut a long story short after no communication, I actually went to their office off Gordon Rd which is just a house in the suburb. There were sales people behind untidy desks and boxes piled up...

Anyone in the PA Rental business in Jhb ?

Thanks everyone. The big guns don't seem to be interested unless you're hosting a concert. Sound Stylists came to the party and have everything I need.

Anyone in the PA Rental business in Jhb ?

Hi all. I'm looking to rent a few items for a location recording gig on Thursday 17th. I've contacted all the usual big companies, but no replies, and I'm getting quite desperate. Basically I need a bass amp and cab ( Eden or similar ) 4 Shure SM 58's or similar vocal mics 3 Shure SM 57's or...

Budget wireless earphone options for cell phones

I bought Sony WI-C200 in ears from Checkers. They're wired to each other, so you can keep them around your neck. A few hundred bucks and they sound really good. My wife has Skull candy ones which are the separate ones with a charging case. She hates them. Too many pieces and crap battery life.

Why are there so many sales posts with no images?

It's so easy with Postimage.org. that some people find it easier to post a pic than actually cleaning or dusting the item they are selling. With windows picture editor you can even use the eraser tool to fix your dented B&W tweeter and replace your Technics badges with something better.  :P

how to secure spiked speaker feet on granite

I see the feet are rounded, but posters here are mentioning spikes. I would just get those small round rubber sticky pads that you can get from any hardware. Use the granite as a base and stick them where the feet will go. The weight of the speakers will squash them and they will stay in position.

Putting too much oil in a car

The seal stuff is safe for turbo engines. it's not a thickener like Wynns stop smoke etc. i would also avoid any engine flush which could dislodge some sludge and clog up the thin oil passages on a turbo. rather let the filter do its job.

Putting too much oil in a car

Firstly, it would most probably be your crankshaft seal that's leaking, not camshafts. The crank seal sits right at the bottom and is one of the seals that takes the most punishment. Too much oil could possibly have left the inside of the seal permanently submerged in it and accelerated the...

    Share your EskomSePush pictures

You must also be on Houtkoppen sub station. Illegal connections and cable theft are rife in the area. It also got flooded once. I hope there's a long term plan, because it's eventually going to pack up altogether.

    Traffic fines link?

If you bank with FNB, you can check your fines on the app. For the first time ever, they wouldn't renew one of my vehicle license discs due to the vehicle having outstanding fines. I've got my go to person to find out how to resolve this. I was given a form, had to pay R700, but there is no disc...

Sense of humor and general chat allowed or not ?

What is the point of a Whatsapp group for forum members ?  We chat, buy, sell, post projects etc here. I personally don't care if numbers decline. All the better TBH , because it will consist of people who are genuinely interested in AV. Facebook market place is great for overpriced...
